This is when we were priming the cabinets. I guess that gives an idea of what they would look like white. Also as you can see, I was eight months pregnant while we were doing this! :)
Here is what our kitchen looks like today! I really liked how it turned out. I think it lightened up our kitchen a lot, which I like because i'm not into dark colors.
I made these curtains for the window above our kitchen sink.
This was Bridger's room when we first moved in....boring!
We painted these white stripes on the walls. It took forever to tape them off, but I think it turned out great!
I didn't really have like a color scheme in mind, but I found this funny little end table at the DI and painted it. Then I realized it matched the little quilt I made that is on the chair in this picture, so I took the colors from the quilt for the rest of the decorations.
I made these little pennant flags, the curtains, and painted the letters for his name.
This is our living room before we moved in....
.....and this is it now! We did a beach theme since I love the beach so much! Also we went there on our Honeymoon. On the wall above our couch we have lots of pictures of the beach, around the painting my dad did as a wedding gift for us of Nantucket Island. I don't know how well you can see it, but for my bithday Kyle got me a giant shell that is on our coffee table. I like it! I had fun making the pillow covers for the living room, I stamped words onto them with paint. I thought they turned out cute, maybe I will make some more to sell on my Etsy shop.
So this is the only before picture I could find of the front of our house, it was the day we brought Bridger home from the hospital. :) Notice the screen door (which I thought was a nuisance) and that the door is white.
We painted the door this blue color, which I like, but I think now I want a light blue door with paint that is flat, not glossy. Maybe we'll paint it again. Also see I have a no soliciting sign? Our neighborhood has so many sales people! It's really annoying and I hate it cause they wake the baby up! And they seem to ignore the sign...
Please ignore our dead grass and our weeds. :) We haven't had too much time for yard work, thanks to Bridger! :)
We are loving our new house and neighborhood! Our ward is really fun too, although we haven't been able to go much since bridger was born just a few weeks before we moved in. Now we are getting back into the swing of things though!
There are still a few things we want to do to the house, but overall I think it looks pretty darn good! :)
This blog post is SO cute! I love what you did with your house! And I wondered if something was different about your door last time! Haha. I like the dark door too. You are so creative!
